Do you really know what your kids see online?
Most parents are guessing. Die Ratel shows you, if you want to know.
One wrong click
is all it takes to land on harmful content. Die Ratel stops it before the page loads.
Protect young minds
Developing brains do not need adult content, gambling or endless screen time.
Your kids. Your internet. Your call.
You decide what is welcome, for each child, on every device.
Stopped before the page loads.
Every visit to a website starts by looking up its name. Die Ratel answers that lookup. Harmful names get no answer, so the page never arrives.
Point your DNS at Die Ratel
On the router for the whole house, or on a single phone or laptop so the protection travels with it. Our guides walk you through each device.
Choose what is welcome
Start with the free Family filter, or build your own rules for each child: categories, individual apps, and times of day.
Get on with your evening
It works on every app and browser on the device. Check the dashboard when you want to, not because you have to.
As strict or as relaxed as your family needs.
26 categories, one switch each
Adult content, gambling, drugs, self-harm, hate, weapons and more. Over four million sites are already sorted into them.
Decide app by app
Allow WhatsApp but not TikTok. Keep YouTube but only in Restricted Mode. More than 70 popular apps and platforms, each with its own setting.
Bedtime and homework schedules
Pause gaming on school nights, or switch the internet off entirely from lights-out until morning. Set it once per child.
Safe search, enforced
Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo are locked to their safe modes, on every browser, without touching the device.
A profile for each child
A seven-year-old and a sixteen-year-old need different rules. So do learners and staff.
Reports, on your terms
See which sites were visited and which were blocked, or keep summaries only, or store nothing at all. You choose how much is kept, and you can delete it whenever you like.
Honest about limits
DNS filtering blocks whole sites, not single pages or messages inside an app. We say so, and show you how to close the gaps.
Homes, classrooms and the people who look after them.
Families
Cover the home Wi-Fi in five minutes, then add each child's phone so the rules follow them onto mobile data.
Schools
Separate rules for learners and staff, activity records for safeguarding, and a filter that works on any device a learner brings.
Installers, ISPs and churches

Family Filter
Blocks adult content and malicious sites, forces SafeSearch, puts YouTube in Restricted Mode, and stops the common ways around a filter: proxies, VPNs and encrypted-DNS bypasses.

Straight answers.
Will it slow our internet down?
No. A DNS lookup happens once before a site loads and takes a few milliseconds. Die Ratel answers from Cloudflare's global network, so the nearest server is usually in your own city. Nothing else about your connection changes.
Can my child get past it?
A determined teenager will try. The Family filter blocks the usual routes: VPN and proxy sites, and browsers quietly switching to another DNS provider. Our setup guides also show how to lock the setting on phones and computers. No filter is perfect, and we would rather tell you that than promise otherwise. But a honey badger does not back down easily.
Can you see what we browse?
The free filters keep no logs at all. On paid plans you choose: full activity reports, summaries only, or nothing stored. Die Ratel only ever sees the names of sites being looked up, never page contents, messages or passwords.
Do I need to install anything?
No. You change one setting on your router to cover the whole house, or one setting on a phone or laptop to cover it wherever it goes. Apps for extra lock-down are on the way.
What is the difference between free and paid?
The free filters are fixed: you pick Family or Adult and that is it. Paid plans give you your own rules for each child or classroom: 26 categories, individual apps like TikTok or Roblox, bedtime and homework schedules, your own allow and block lists, and reports.
Does it work on mobile data, away from home?
Yes, when it is set on the device itself. Android has a built-in Private DNS setting and iPhones accept a small profile. Both are covered in the setup guides.
